England-Lacock Abbey

The Abbey was founded in 1232, it was converted into a country house in 1540. Some interior sequences in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets were filmed here.
Lacock Abbey could be considered as the birthplace of photography. It was here in the early 1830's that William Fox-Talbot performed his experiments into the properties of light. Below is the photo he took.

Bendigo Post Office VIC
Bendigo is about 2 hours north of Melbourne in Central Victoria. The building was built between 1883 and 1887 by the contractors McCulloch and McAlpine and designed by Public Works architect George W Watson in the Second Empire architectural style. It is now being used as a tourist information centre.

Opened on 28th September 1872. Built out of local sandstone in the Neoclassical Style, by Mr John Petrie, it was designed by Mr F D G Stanley. It is located between Queen Street and Elizabeth Street in Brisbane.

Mystery of the Missing Stamp
This was the envelope that Snelly sent. At first I looked at the stamps and thought how nice and interesting they were and then I noticed that one was missing. Looking at the photo you can see in the corner. It had obviously been stamped by the Post Office and obviously it was lost after it left Russia.
Some questions came to mind.
What stamp was supposed to be on the envelope?
Did someone steal it? To add to a collection, maybe.
Is there a stamp fairy?
