King Tut is coming to Melbourne (well, his stuff is anyway)

What exciting news today. One of my passions has always been Egypt and so with today's news that treasures from King Tut's tomb will be coming to Melbourne next year I am excited. The exhibition Tutankhamen and the Golden Age of the Pharoahs will be in Melbourne in April 2011. It will feature more than 130 artefacts from Tut's tomb and the tombs and temples of his ancestors.

Egypt's Ministry of Culture has said that this is the last time that Tut's treasures will ever leave his homeland.

Aurora Borealis

Stickers on a Card - Group #28 - Ihana_nalle

The aurora borealis gets its name from the mythical Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for north wind, Boreas. The aurora borealis can often be seen on the northern horizon; it frequently appears as a reddish glow, as if the sun were rising in the wrong direction. The aurora borealis is most often seen during the months of September, October, March, and April.

A lichen-covered Hoodoo, created by water erosion, stands like a giant mushroom in the middle of the eerie lunar-like landscape of the Valley of the Moon in Dinosaur Provincial Park.

Dinosaur Provincial Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park contains some of the most important fossil finds ever made from the 'Age of Reptiles', in particular about 35 species of dinosaur, dating back some 75 million years.

She also included a handmade postcard which was printed by the Avant Company, they distribute free postcards (from people's designs), all over Australia, mainly in coffee bars. She also included a cute self-made notecard and label.
